Ultrasound Guided Carpal Tunnel Release

The GC CTC will soon be offering ultrasound guided carpal tunnel release. This procedure involves a very similar approach to Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel Release but instead of using the Endoscope and a small incision, a simple puncture wound is made. The procedure is perfomed under local anaesthetic instead of axillary block. Extensive research has now been performed in various countries to test the safety and validity of this procedure. The Gold Coast Carpal Tunnel Clinic will be the first surgery in Australia to offer this procedure.
