I am sure you are all aware of the COVID-19 problem. We at MISC, Maguire Upper Limb, The Carpal Tunnel Clinic and SOS want to assure you that we will continue to stay open and function as normally as possible during this difficult time. As a Private Clinic, separate from the Private and Public Hospital Systems, we are well placed to avoid issues related to the Coronavirus.

Appointments will be spaced out appropriately to maintain social distancing rules and regulations. As a courtesy to all patients, we would like to go through a screening checklist to minimise exposure of our clinic to the Coronavirus.

If you answer YES to any of the following questions please contact one of our friendly staff members before leaving home to attend the clinic. The staff member will discuss with Dr Maguire to determine if it is appropriate for you to attend your appointment.

1. Are you currently feeling unwell?
2. Have you had any of the following symptoms in the last 14 days? Sore throat, cough or fever?
3. Have you been exposed to anyone with a confirmed case of the Coronavirus?
4. Have you recently travelled abroad (last 3 months)?
5. Have you been exposed to anyone who has exhibited symptoms of the Coronavirus?
6. Do you feel lethargic or tired?

Please contact the rooms to confirm you answered NO to all questions above prior to attending your appointment.

Before coming to our clinic please follow all the appropriate precautions including avoiding contact with areas of known Coronavirus cases, avoiding crowds and social gatherings, washing your hands regularly or using hand sanitiser, maintaining social distancing rules of 1.5 metres and avoiding touching your face or coughing into your hands.

Our Clinics are committed to the health, safety and well-being of not only our employees and their families, but also our patients and their family members.

We are aware of and well prepared for the COVID-19 problem and are confident our clinic is safe.

If you are concerned about coming to our clinic and would prefer not to attend, or you are currently symptomatic, Dr Maguire may consider offering phone or Skype (video) consultations to ensure our patients receive the help and treatment they need.

Rest assured that MISC, Maguire Upper Limb, The Carpal Tunnel Clinic and SOS are taking the appropriate steps to protect not only our staff but also our patients and families from exposure to the virus. We will remain open, operating as safely as possible during this difficult time.
